January 16, 2006 – We are viewing Futurity contenders from the 2005 GDCA National Specialty. Thanks to input from the audience, most of the unnamed dogs from last week have been identified. There are a few "unknowns" on this week's page. With your help, I hope they can be resolved by the end of the week.

According to the Futurity catalog there were 256 Danes entered in the event, 114 dogs and 142 bitches. The judging spanned two days. I was unable to photograph each and every Dane in the ring, but I sure snapped a lot of them. This week's installment puts us approximately 2/3 of the way through the first day of judging.
