— Good Morning
from Shanghai —
March 16,
2009 – It's a beautiful morning here in Shanghai, despite the seemingly
ever-present haze (ie: smog) that hangs over
the city. It's warm and the sun is shining.
We've been here for a week now. One of the first
things I noticed is that residents of Shanghai enjoy eating "street
food" — and lots of it — day or night. Individual vendors prepare
on-the-go food from small mobile stalls parked along the road. Such food is plentiful,
diverse and very inexpensive. Often we are unsure what exactly is being
cooked but it usually smells pretty good.
Over the weekend as we wandered among the crowds, I could not resist shooting
the food scene. Hope you enjoy the pics...
