— CARDINAL SERIES — January 26, 2009 – Here's something a bit different for you. These images are based on a young fallen cardinal. The poor creature broke her neck when she flew into my studio window. After carefully examining her body I felt compelled to record her fragile beauty. I shot a series of photographs. From them, I built these montage images. One might say I look at cardinals a bit differently now. I've completed a series of 5 such images, with perhaps a few more to follow. Yesterday I entered them in the PDN Photo Annual competition, along with 6 images from my "Dreams and Visions" series. The jury results should come back in a few weeks.
