Gone to Maui...
February
27, 2006 – Rumor has it more than a few of you are tired of looking
at Futurity pictures, so I've high-tailed it to Maui for a little break
— and you're invited along. Today we're headed to the summit
of Haleakala (10,023 feet above sea level!) to gaze down into the crater
of the world's largest dormant volcano. They say it is freezing
cold and very rugged up there, yet I didn't even bring a pair of socks
with me to Hawaii. Stay tuned. I've amassed scads of photos
already but haven't had time to work them up — hope to do so
in the next day or two.
