Portrait of Ginnie"Ginnie-dot-com"
is a a one-person company, owned and operated by Ginnie Saunders. From 1980 to 1997 the business was registered as Adcon, Inc. The name was officially changed in 1998 to reflect my interest in, and commitment to, designing for the Internet.

Here are some things you should know about me:

  • In 1980 I went into business for myself as an
    independent graphic designer.
  • In 1987 I began using the computer – a little "Mac Plus" – as my primary design tool.
  • In 1995 I discovered the power of the Internet and built my first web site.
  • In 1996 I transformed my print-based design
business into a Web-based design business.

Prior to discovering the Internet, I was a professional graphic designer specializing in print media. Earlier, I earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of South Carolina where I taught drawing, printmaking and graphic design courses for several years before moving into the advertising business. I spent a year working for an advertising agency. I then moved to the graphics department of a large software company. Eventually, in 1980, I started my own company.

About Ginnie-dot-com
When I founded my business, my goal was to provide high quality design for print media. My fascination with computer graphics evolved into a fascination with the Internet. No other medium offers as much innovation and potential. I am committed to producing quality web sites. I specialize in designing attractive, effective, and memorable "graphic interfaces."

  • I take great pride in my work. For me, it's not a job – it's a craft
  • I work closely with my clients, so I choose them carefully
  • I value my time – and yours – so I select my projects carefully
  • I make sure each customer gets good value for their money

When a project requires it, I use independent professionals to help with marketing strategy, copywriting, photography and back-end or database programming. If your job requires assistance from such consultants, I can assemble a very strong team.

Some Clients (past and present)
Bill Barley and AssociatesHere are links to some web design projects by Ginnie.com. Some of the sites were built entirely by me, while others instead rely heavily on graphics that I provided. Please be aware that some organizations use an internal staff of "non-design" personnel to update and maintain their web site, so the original design may have been altered. If you contact me privately I will be happy to discuss any of the sites on this list and show you my original work. I encourage you to visit my portfolio of Internet graphics.
