— Bavarian Bachelorette
Party —
Munich, Germany
January 17, 2010 – We
spent two weeks touring southern Germany by car this past summer. One of my favorite
stops was Munich; it's a great city. While we were dining one evening at an outdoor
restaurant our meal was interrupted by six lovely Fräuleins wearing modern/traditional
Bavarian costume. One of the gals
(fourth from the left) was soon to be married and she was being escorted by friends
who were approaching strangers and soliciting various donations on her behalf.
This particular "hen party" was rather tame compared to others we'd
seen. In fact, it was classy. I offered to take a photograph
and send it to them. They liked the idea.
The Bride-to-be
Note: I am trying to get back
to a consistent weekly schedule here in DaDane of DaWeek. Unfortunately a feral
cat snuck into my art studio last night through the cat door and he
tore up the place, so this week's installment is brief. I have LOTS of cleaning
up to do!
Sympathy goes to Janet Routh
who bid farewell last week to her beloved SadieGrace after a long battle with
the ravages of old age.
