November 26, 2007 — Let's take a break from the Nationals coverage. Some of you will recall this week's picture from several years ago when I was having problems with an aggressive swan named Little Big. Using humor to work through my frustration, I placed the head of Dreamaker KT's Crescendo v Lamar, aka Mozart, onto the body of my pet swan. (Oh, if only it was as easy to substitute the sweet temperament of a Great Dane for that of an angry swan!)

At any rate...
I learned last week that this particular image was among 104 photographs selected by a 4-juror panel out of a field of 20,000 world-wide submissions to be published in The Best of Photography Annual 2007. This prestigious hardcover annual is sponsored by Canon and Photographer's Forum Magazine. Published by Serbin Communications, it retails for $65 and will begin shipping at the end of December.
