– Wide-Eyed Innocence
September 16, 2002 Wha-hoo!! I have
a new digital (dogital?) camera – the Nikon
D100 – and just in time for next month's GDCA National!
This is my first digital SLR camera. Hopefully I'll learn to take
advantage of everything it has to offer. (Right now I'm simply learning
how it works.)
Pictured
above is dear old Merlin, who has been very tolerant about having
the camera shoved in his face every five minutes while I test my
settings. To the right is our little orange rescue cat, Wheezy,
whose natural beauty is enhanced by the unnatural fact that he has
four nostrils and a harelip. Wheezy emerged from the woods behind
our house one bitterly cold winter evening several years ago. He
was starving and afraid. He wouldn't have survived many more nights
without food and shelter, so we took him in.
For a closer look at Wheezy's mouth (and
to see how much detail the Nikon D100 can capture) click
here.
