Take Me Home

Meet Solomon. He's a three-year-old deaf Great Dane. Solomon is a "rescue" who is now living happily with his rescuer, Kristy Boldin, in Ohio.

Solomon doesn't look too happy here, does he? Rumor has it he doesn't have much use for sheep. I should tell you that this picture is actually a composite of three photos. I began with a simple snapshot of Solomon taken by his owner. I scanned the photo and knocked out the original background using Adobe Photoshop. I knew that I wanted to place Solomon against a fence, so I took a digital photo of my own split-rail fence. After removing the fence's background, I merged the two photos. Next, I began searching through my stock photography collection for a suitable background. I finally settled on the one you see here – sheep peacefully grazing in a woodland setting. Solomon's expression suggests he isn't very pleased with this new companions. Trust me, he'll get over it!
