| Meet the first "DaDane" of the new year! This is Tigger. She is a young brindle owned and co-bred by Jill Swedlow of Sunnyside Farm. Tigger's registered name is Sunnyside ColoradoColumbine. She is out of Ch. Brier Rika Good Grief and Sunnyside Mtn. Columbine of We3. Today's photo montage is derived from a photo that I took on a late October afternoon at the 1999 Great Dane National Specialty in California. I have known Jill Swedlow for several years. She is a remarkable person. In addition to raising and breeding Great Danes for 25 years, Jill is an AKC approved show judge. She has written numerous articles and authored several highly respected Great Dane books. Her most recent effort, "The Great Dane: Model of Nobility," was published in 1999 by Howell Book House. I highly recommend this book. I ordered my copy from Amazon.com. Note: One of our visitors just sent in this comment regarding my recommendation about Jill's book.
