DaDane of DaWeek


With heavy heart, we announce the passing of Karen Quatman's beloved "Tucker." Born on May the 20th, 1996, Tucker died on April the 21st, 1999, due to complications from a routine neutering.

A living memorial has been established by Jody Cohen and Fran Scott at the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League in his registered name, Ch. Jamara's Reason To Believe. Tucker's spirit will live on in the lives that are saved in his name.

Karen reflects, "Tucker brought many things into my life, but the most important things he brought to me were the friendships I made along the way. I may never find the answers I am looking for, as to why this had to happen to him, but I do know that my life was never the same after that fateful day in August when I fell in love with a beautiful brindle puppy dog, sitting in the middle of a field on that hot August day. It was meant to be."
