The dogs are beautiful, the handlers are interesting but the way you photo'd the hands on the dogs, that is awesome. Great hand/sensitivity studies.

Ah, one of my favorites.
I just love Emmie.

Thank you for sharing more photos from the Top 20 event. It's great to be able to see all of these gorgeous dogs up close as well as their movement.

Handlers dressed to the nines with some of the best Danes -
I love it!

Lovely as ever, Ginnie. Looking forward to more, more, more from the National! K. Lewis made a comment about the hands with the Danes. Funny I noticed that as well and I agree......many of your photos this time are an interesting study of the hands on the dogs. You can see the connection.
And to Dani's question as to why all the Top 20 dogs which Ginnie has shown us so far are fawn....stick around! You will get to see a beautiful black and handsome harlequin here soon!
Wonerful as always, Ginnie!
Thank you!

Oh...and I cannot forget to mention the wonderful brindle lady which appeared in the last Top 20 photo installment here at DaDane....so, not all were fawn :)

Chantel, you and Lewis are right. I spent time with Ginnie yesterday perusing the many pics that haven't made it to the site (lucky me!), and the thing I told her is that with her artistic skills and abilities she is able to capture so much more than just the amateur photographer. In other words, the essence of what earned each dog his place on that Top 20 floor. For instance, the level top lines, the reach and drive reflecting correct shoulder set, foot placement. during movement. All of this is what we study at ringside, yet is often hard to see because of the fast pace. These are things that Ginnie has captured so skillfully that impress me. The true "form to function" of the dogs.
Of course, I DO LOVE that #4 and that #16 picture!

Hi C. Russell, you can begin your research at www.gdca.org. Of course, Ginnie has lots of good links, too!
