such a great picture for a Rainy monday morning !!!! and such a delightfull story to go with it!!! thanks for sharing it with us!!!!! as always I look forward to mondays and another Da-Dane of the week |
Males like Barcley are priceless. I have one like him in Rommel.
The way Joanne works with her dogs is awsome. I have admired her already for a number of years. |
What a striking photograph of Coral and Barclay! It speaks of the gentle nature of both dogs, and the bond between them. What the photo doesn't show is the bond between Joanne and her dogs - something that is truly amazing, and must be witnessed to truly appreciate. I have had the opportunity to watch Joanne and Coral in the conformation ring, and they share one of those rare , relationships that defies description - you have to see it to understand it. So, to me, the photo is also a reflection of the relationship between Joanne and her dogs. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful photo! |
I saw the news about the ship damage, and I swore that was the boat I had seen on DaDane for months. I hope everyone is doing OK, and they don't give up on educating people at sea. |
Wow. Like Jenny, I saw that story on the news and thought, "Hey - wasn't that the same 'Semester At Sea' I read about on Ginnie.com?" What a story!! |
I admire anyone who realizes that you just can't live a full life without a male Great Dane in the household. |
Joanne (and Ginnie),
Loved this week's DaDane with the sweet picture of Coral & Barclay. Joanne, I love the goober boys, too, as you know! Your words about Bar remind me so much of my late "Leo". Such a gentle soul. The beautiful grey face, too. Chantel & The Boys @ LeCheval ~ |
Ginnie and Joanne, What a lovely photo. You're crew sounds much like mine here -a harmonious coexistence. Can't believe there was a time I had no interest in a male but now I understand why they're so special. My sweet boy will be 6 in a few days and while he can be a complete butt head he's always my big love. |
KUDOS TO STEPHANIE GALLUPS, Harley D Hardts Great Danes (http://www.harleydhardts.com) of Purcellville Virginia for breeding this "once in a lifetime" bitch. Being both the breeder AND co-owner of this lovely bitch, she too, must be very proud! |
