I hope Duke is still going to the people who orignally wanted to adopt him.. he needs a family that will love him and take good care of him...keep us informed and hopefully you'll have better luck next week on the story that will put a smile to our faces !!!!!! although we all need to hear about these stories as well...

Yes, Duke is still planned to go to the people who originally wanted to adopt him. His original owner has never even bothered to call Dr. Barnett's office and told the woman who owns Duke's parents that he's not interested. It's difficult to imagine that Duke's horrible experience could be a blessing, but it certainly appears to have a silver lining. I expect him to spend the rest of his life in a far better home than he got the first time.

Maybe the owner will get left in a ditch after being hit by a vehicle. I do not think it would have near the heart Duke does. At least the breeder is a Dane being.

Well one thing is for sure : At least now Duke can wear his "I love Duke" tag and it will be 100% true. I know his new owners will love him as much as he deserves and more ! Good work everyone and thanks for yet another happy ending.

I am putting a check in the mail today to LSAC. Some folk do the most wonderful things to save a Dane. Just a blessing that we have these kind of folks. Good luck to Duke and his new owners!

Sharing in this blessing!
