| Eating dog meat "Ka-gogi" in Korea was basically prevalent everywhere you went until the 1988 Olympics. That's when the government decided to "clean up" the image, and they thus banned it from the open areas and restaurants in the major towns and cities. If you want it, you have to go into the backwood or back alley places, or eat it at home.
I ate it, but not intentionally. I was told that it was chicken, and I was angered when I bit into it. For the record, it has a sweet taste. (Sorry if I grossed anyone out, but some in the world comdem us for eating cows.........) ---Rick |
