You failed to mention that Penelope is a
fine conformation example of the breed. As I have always said, a good Dane is a good color. Suzzane also modestly didn't mention that Penelope is a multiple Champion producer. She has every right to be proud! Penelope is a magical merle! |
I followed the link and visited the Pacific Coast Harl web site. So many breeder web sites consist of a few static pictures of Danes standing like statues, often in the show ring gathering their ribbons, but Suzzane's is far more. It shows how much she loves her Danes and how much she does with them. Not only is Penelope a wonderful dog, but she has a wonderful family which makes her a part of their activities. When I die I want to come back as a Dane at Pacific Coast Harls.

Penelope's a doll. She's my favorite Big Dog. All wags and kisses for me. She's too cute!
<3 ya Sue |
I knew Penelope was "all that" but it's obvious she's actually "all that and then some". *g*
Your girls are awesome Suzzane. Can't wait to see all of you in the agility ring. |
Penelope is such a wonderful doll. Suzanne brought the girls over for a therapy visit after my surgery, which my family( in Mississippi) is still talking about. They were so great. My son was like in shear heaven from having the dogs around. "Nelope" is such a beautiful and loving dog; but this can only from the warm and beautiful spirit's that surrounds her... Suzanne, Lyn and of course Delaney. Much Love and continued success Penelope.
XOXOXOXO Sonia & Spencer |
I loved the story about Penelope challenging the horse to a race -but I HAVE to know: DOES SHE EVER WIN?! <g>
My Catherine met a miniature horse once, when she was about three years old. At first she couldn't quite figure out what he was -but after checking him out carefully, she tried to wash his ears! I guess she figured he was just a funny-smelling Dane! <lol> |
Are you kidding? Are you all really that fooled. You are right about her being a queen, but that is part of her trickery for world domination. Once you fall in love with her (which I did) she gets to you and then exploits it! After all that's how she gets her attention.
Suzzane, this world would not be the same without you or our beloved Penelope in it. God bless both of you with many more happy and fun years. With Love, Patrick |
Penelope is my beautiful (PCH's Roll of The Dice) harlie girl Dice's Mom. We are so pround of Penelope and Dice's sister Lava. Suzzane is one of the most loving breeders I've ever met and also a great friend! She even posted my kids with Dice and Lava and Penelope on her web site. We love you Penelope, Dice & Merlin (The Danes) and Kelcie, Ricky, Alex and Nancie. |
loved reading about Penelope. What a sweet girl! We do love our danes..thanks for the story |
I loved the Trail dawg part of your story, I had a Great Dane by the name Of Boats that would race early in the ride just so she could get loaded up on the back of the horse and straddle her ride home!
She wasn't lazy, I don't think, Used to run 8-12 miles daily with me thru the Sugar cane fields of Hawaii! Till at the age of 6yrs went with me to the end of the driveway and put on the brakes, said "that's enough!" |
Oh Suzanne she is truly and ambassador for our breed. What truly heartwarming picture's and to know they are a genuine reflection of Penelopes personality and temperment. Thank you so much for sharing her with so many and for her champion get that will continue to produce type and temperment. Be proud of her! Ya done good kiddo! |
Sue,
I just want you to know how amazing Penelope is and how fantastic she looks.she is a sweetheart and i love that big girl. |
Suzzane you are being too modest, she's simply magnificent.
What a doll, Wishing you many more happy and wonderfull years with her. Hugs and sloppy kisses to her. |
Penelope has a huge special soft spot in my heart as she epitomizes my beloved, sweet, easy going Zacharia"... her dad. I see him in her face and it makes me proud. |
Here's to the only dog I've ever seen eat a giant pickle, spicy corn nuts and skittles all in one sitting. |
Penelope is truly a very special girl...and no doubt this is due to all of the love and attention she receives from Suzzane. Penelope...you are always my favorite dog to cuddle with and share french kisses...but don't tell Lava!! |
Suzzane came to me about a month ago and asked if we could begin agility lessons with her 8 year old Great Dane. I was a bit skeptical but knew that Suzzane did lots of hiking with her girls so
decided to give it a whirl. Oh my! Penelope has such enthusiasm, athleticism and heart. What a girl. In just 3 sessions she is sequencing 4 obstacles. Negotiates the dogwalk like she has been doing it all her life. It is hard to believe this young girl is 8 years old! It is truly a treat to be involved in her agiltiy career. |
Too funny! Gypsy prefers a red boa to Penelope's blue one. She struts around in her red boa like she is queen. Rocky on the other hand acts like he's being tortured just wearing a bandana. Slobbers! |
Penelope's picture was in our local newspaper's T.V. Focus. I live in New Orleans and opened the front page of the Focus, and there she was!!! I showed my husband and we said she looks like our girls (3 Harles)during
Mardi Gras!!!! |
PENELOPE ,The Magical Merle, more like MAGNIFICIENT MERLE,like her owner. I have the privilege of owning one of the PCH Danes , who happens to look just like his Mom. I can't say enough good about this breeder and her dogs. They are Handsome, Healthy, Happy, Loving, and A true delight to have. |
I just brought home Penelope's granddaughter, "Aria", who looks so much like her. I am looking forward to working Aria in the agility ring. We have a lot to live up to! I can't say enough great things about Suzzanne and her dogs. She is the best of the best of breeders and just people in general. Thanks, Suzzanne, for the opportunity you gave us we you allowed us to bring Aria home. She is the sweetest girl in the world. |
