Ginnie, thanks for your segment on Alex. Yes, he IS a wonderful dog! I met him at the National in Orlando. He and my 3 1/2 mos old Whippet puppy became fast friends. Their interaction was delightful to watch.

Don't we all have a great shot like that with our Danes? They do seem to enjoy the dance!

Alex must be a sweetheart. I didn't get to meet him, but, everything about that face says, "Love me...I love you."

Another nice way to start a Monday morning visiting DaDane :)

As ever,

Ginnie, Great shot & even greater story. Makes me sad that we didn't get to National this year but we did get the puppies that at least 1 will make it to Texas this year. Now to decide which one <Grin>. The really happy ones are better on a rather stormy monday. Keep up the Great Dane work. Scot

I too, have enjoyed meeting and knowing Alex at several Nationals now. He is every bit as wonderful as Kathy says. In fact, it may be a little understated. Thank you Kathy for pointing out the importance of socialization and training, and thank you Ginnie for putting a very deserving dog in the spotlight this week!

I met Kathy and Alex at the Lancaster Nationals and have enjoyed a long distance friendship with both ever since. Both Alex and Kathy have a wonderful, gentle and generous spirit. They were made for each other and your photo captures their relationship beautifully!!

Ginnie, thanks so much for featuring Alex. He has been a favorite of mine since the National in 1997 where I met he and Kathy. They have both been one of my favorites since then. I thank Kathy for her friendship and her wonderful love of the breed.

Ginne,
What a great way to start the week (I'm a day behind<G>). Alex has been a pleasure to watch over the years, and I look forward to seeing him at each of the Nationals. He and Kathy have a particularly wonderful bond.

I'v seen Kathy and Alex now at three Nationals. The best was watching this large laid back boy do agility. He had so much fun doing it. I was amazed he had that much hidden energy.

I, too, met Alex and Kathy at the 2003 Nationals, and Alex immediately became one of my favorite Danes. Anyone who doesn't like Alex doesn't like dogs (and I'd be suspicious as to their opinion of people). He's a real sweetheart.

Our Sheva (see next Da Dane) is a wonderful dog, but she could never be a therapy dog. Kathy is blessed that Alex can do it all.

I hope I see both Kathy and Alex at the Ft. Worth Nationals.

--Jerry
