Ginnie, We are lucky"?" since our son & daughter-in-law have 2 Llamas. After meeting & hearing about them I doubt that you want them over for tea much less the crumpets very often. They are nice most of the time but their idea of play can be painful to the being they are playing with <G>. You wouldn't want to take any dog to "meet" them. They are great to visit.

Ginnie, those neighbors have a couple of goats and two pot bellie pigs, too. I only know the name of one of the pigs: "Pearl". When Pearl ran around on the road, my neighbors called her and she came in a flying gallop to them. Quite comical. On your next visit I'll introduce you to my neighbors. LOL.

I can't tell you how much I love visiting your website, Ginnie. I purchased the puppy from Cindy and Glenn Niske on your Puppy Power picture - the baby on the left--his name is now Sonny, and of course, is the love of our life. I was so envious of your trip to Taos--been there many times myself, and I think it is one of the most beautiful spots on Earth. Keep up the wonderful commentary.

I agree that llamas are some of the most enchanting creatures on Earth. The haughty way they carry themselves, their soft hoof-steps, their gorgeous, liquid eyes...BUT....as someone who has had the distinction of having been spat upon by a llama...you may change your mind about inviting one over for a tea party! LOL It is no ordinary spit, mind you! A lovely mixture of saliva and un-digested cud! Green and very, very smelly! You get a 2 second warning of ears peeled back and the gurgle in the throat!

My husband and I live in Northern Baltimore County and have two Danes, Rumpus and Alex. You showed both of them in your 'Couch Potatoes' feature a few months ago. I feel the same as you do about animals I get to know all the dogs around me and any exotic creatres I would certainly get to know. If you can believe it we have Buffalos up here and I certainly got to know them, as well as any Llams and Alpacas.
