Ginnie,
That poem was written by someone that had a puppy or puppies. I can remember a litter or 2 that were just old enough to do much of that before we started putting an X-pen around the tree.
Merry Christmas to you & yours & to everyone.

MERRY CNRISTMAS TO ALL,,,
that is a cute poem,, I gave up having a large tree in my small house so I just have a tree in the bay window and Sadie can still have "fun" with it!!!
and yes I believe that puppies and children can teach us the true meaning...

Ginnie,

Love the poem! And the picture of course! We\'ve only fenced off the tree once (with a REAL white picket fence! LOL) - in 1998 I think it was, when our first dane, Morgan, was on her way to the terrible twos a bit early. Since then we have never put anything between the trees and the "kids" and so far have not had a problem. Right now we have 3 danes, and I have 3 trees up (two 4' on tables - but not out of reach - and one 8' one), fully decorated with blown glass ornaments, icicles, snowflakes - all breakable. Luckily the zoomies usually happen on the other end of the room from the big tree. The only interest shown this year was to the blankets of snow under the trees on the tables. I think the babies thought I disemboweled all their stuffies and used it for the snow!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone!!

Allison (who now has to go and find some wood to knock on!!)

Merry Christmas to ALL!
What a lovely poem and of COURSE, as always, a great picture...
This time last year I'd been up all nite, literally, whelping a litter of eight! Altho they were the greatest Christmas gifts a person could have, I can PROMISE, I'm GLAD I"M NOT DOING IT THIS YEAR!!!!!
Happy birthday to all of those babies. And of course to Jesus for bringing us the season...

Ginnie,
I would like to thank you for all of the hard work you put into Dadane each week. I love this site, and it brings a lot of happiness to myself and my husband.
This year for Christmas we got a foster Dane that has been severaly abused and is 40-50 lbs under weight. Having the opportunity to help this wonderful creature has reminded me that Christmas is about giving and helping those in need. My foster Dane is the best gift I have ever received for Christmas!
Happy Holidays and Thanks Again,
Jen
