Hi Ginnie,
Im so glad that Hector made his way to his forever home finally ! I was the transport from Dallas Tx to Arkadelphia. hector will always have a special place in my heart as weel. My hubby got a horrible case of cellulitus in his leg from the loooong trip and ended up in the hospital for a whole week ! was pretty bad as they say he got there just in time. He is fine now....took a while but he is ok. But were both glad that we accomplished what we set out to do by getting him to where he needed to be. I was afraid at first that th etrip would be canceled if someone wasnt willing to step up and do the transport from texarkana to Arkadelphia. I decided to go ahead and drive the extra time with lil Roxie in tow as well ! Of all the bumps and mishaps we made it tho and the end result is seen on his face ! way to go Hector! Congrats to his new mom and dad !

Ginnie, thanks so much for featuring Hector along with all the other rescued Danes in this world. You are doing a great thing by letting all of us know that there are so many unfortunate doggies out there, that can have a real home, even if it is for a short time. They so much deserve that. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Ginnie,

I loved reading Hector's story. That "behavior problem" made me chuckle, though. It reminded me of our now long-departed Gracie who, as a puppy, convinced my husband she was unable to jump into our Jeep Wagoneer by herself. When I saw him lifting her 11-month-old butt into the car and asked why, he was shocked to learn that she had been jumping in on her own for me for more than six months! With him, she always just turned and gave him a "Help me, daddy" look. He couldn't resist those big sweet eyes. She knew a sucker when she saw one. :)
