May 8, 2006 – It's time to resume our photographic coverage of the 2005 GDCA National Specialty, which was held last October in Chandler, Arizona. There were over 500 Danes in attendance from all over the country – top quality entries produced by top quality breeders. Quality breeders constantly strive to improve the breed and routinely exhibit their Great Danes in public competitions like the GDCA National Specialty. These photos should enable viewers who are less familiar with "the breed standard" to begin to understand and appreciate the physical characteristics of a well-bred Great Dane.
