Last week's announcement regarding the possibility of producing genetic replicas of sheep precipitated an "animated" discussion among members of the Great Dane Mail List. The question was whether or not it would be ethical to clone Great Danes and -- if cloning was done for a period of years -- how the breed might be effected. I decided to do my own cloning experiment on Quin, who we saw in last week's portrait. But I didn't want to merely duplicate Quin; that would have been kind of dull. Instead, I cloned halves of Quin. |
