October 21, 2002 We're back from
the 2002 GDCA National Specialty.
The Central Division of the GDCA hosted the event and they put on
a great show. I'm sure all who attended would agree that it was
extremely well-run, from start to finish. The committee chairs and
their many volunteers deserve a round of applause for their hard
work and careful planning.
Be sure to check out the winners:
of Breed, Top Twenty, Non-Regular Classes
Some of the exhibitors (and observers) are still on the road heading
home, but most of us are back by now. Many of us who left some Danes
behind got a thorough sniffing when we first opened the door. Merlin
went over me from head to toe with his tail wagging and his nose
twitching. I'm not sure if Merlin was happier to see me –
or happier to smell me. When I unpacked my dirty clothes from the
week-long event, Merlin was right there, nudging each pair of dirty
blue jeans with his big black nose.
Lots of photos...
I took over 2500 hundred photographs last week. I want to thank
everyone who was gracious enough to grant me a photo session. I'm
looking forward to working with the newest Dane photos, many of
which will appear on DaDane of DaWeek in coming months.
